Ironmongery
Sash and Case windows are fitted with the following ironmongery as standard;
Brass pulley wheels, Brass ring sash lifts,
Brass lockable fasteners
Optional items available:
Weekes stops are used as an extra security feature, when the Weekes stops are in the locked position they only allow the sashes to move up or down a few inches. When unlocked the Weekes stop folds flush into the top sash.
Sash bolts do the same job as Weekes stops by only allowing the sash to move up or down a few inches, although they require a key to remove the bolt to allow you to open the window.
Top eyes are fitted on the top sash and used with a pole hook to ease the opening and closing of the top sash on tall windows
Ironmongery (simplex)
Simplex kits are required to be used when the windows are above ground floor for cleaning purposes. If simplex kits are requested all items are fitted except the cord plug, slotted hinges and round headed screws.
Simplex kits include:
2X Slotted hinge & 2X round headed screws
1X Cord clutch
1X Cord plug
1X Baton rod thumb screw
Vents
Trickle vents are recommended for use in kitchens or bathrooms to provide extra ventilation. Trickle vents are available in white or brown and are available as an optional extra.
Draught Proofing
Our double glazed windows come with draught proofing as standard. A “bubble gasket”, is used to the head, cill and counter check with a flexible but shape retaining plastic to the stiles. Draught proofing is available on single glazed units at an additional cost.
